Book review: Ebook Queen Sacerdoti hewns a dark romance for sinister times


Today, the women’s commercial fiction market has turned to something darker.


It was with her 2011 novel, Watch Over Me, that Daniela Sacerdoti really became the Ebook Queen, and her combined ebook sales are now almost a million copies. The publication of this fourth in the Glen Avich series (following Watch Over Me, Take Me Home and Set Me Free) will almost certainly take her over that figure, to consolidate a remarkable publishing success for the formerly Scotland-based Italian author.
Bestsellers like Sacerdoti, who rise largely by word of mouth rather than by expensive or global marketing campaigns, are rarer than we might think.
